Hey ,
First of all Great web page I've used it for many years and its just awsome thats its got a fourm
I have a question Its about video impedance (I think) I have a Jvc D70 Dv video cammera with AV in the av in works great from a signal such as a dvd player or vcr, How ever This is where it gets interesting. I have a Helmet ccd cammera shows a grea image on a tv records on to a vcr or my friends panasonic dv cammera with av in Fine with no problems what so ever but When I plug it in to my jvc cammera its ok indoors and low light but as soon as I take it out side the picture goes white and some times flickers, Im guessing its a impedance problem?
I then had a crazy Idea I have a av switch box with a bunch of resistors in it (for memory thats it) its got 4 inputs I pluged the cammera in to input one then took the video output of the switch box back in to input two on the switch box then put the switch half way hoping to make it come OUT input three (if this makes sence) well guess what It worked the picture works out doors but the quality isnt as good as I want it its 95% good but not how it should be plus I shouldnt need to do this
Any help would be apreciated mite be a good thing to put up on your page too.

Just to let every one know incase you are having a similar problem I ended up buying a 100k pot and tweeking it across hot and ground video out put of the cammera untill the picture was perfect
I relised the problem was even though the small cammera does have agc (you can see it ajusting when the light levels change) it was putting out around 3.8v!
I believe this mod may also work for people experianceing to much tv signal or cross talk for digital telivision recievers

But the cammera works fine when plugd in to another panasonic dv cammera av in or in to a vcr its only when its In the jvc cammera it won't work. But also like I said the av in on the jvc seems to work ok with other devices?!???!

The camera that works great indoors but is too white when it is outdoors is broken or its circuit is cheap. It has nothing to do with impedance. The light outdoors is too bright for it. Its iris doesn't work properly or it doesn't have an iris. |
