Posted - Feb 19 2011 : 10:40:48 PM Hey, I'm looking for some advice on my circuit here (below). Basically the function of this circuit is to turn the motor in one direction or another based on the timer. When the timer turns on, it sends 1.2V to the signal line. When it turns off, the signal is at 0V. I want to ake the motor turn one direction when the signal is receiving 1.2V and the other when it is receiving 0V. My problem is the transistors here. I don't think this will work as I have it. Maybe I need a flip-flop IC here?
I could use a relay, but I am using a battery for the timer, and the relay's coil would use a lot of power. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
As to the double coil relay, since making this image I realized I can use a standard relay for that component. What I am really looking for some advice on is the two transistors.
