Posted - Sep 07 2010 : 04:43:43 AM My electrical / electronic knowledge is self taught and therefore eclectic. The thing that puzzles me , and I have found no explaination is: In a normal iron core transformer the turns rule applies - double the turns on the secondary and the voltage is doubled from the primary irrespective of the frequency. If a coil is wound bifilar fashion around a core then the out put on the secondary IS frequency dependant even thoughthe turns might be 1:1 ..How and why?
