Hi
I want to know if it is possible to make a 7 segment counter count 5 digits at a time instead of one , when a button is pressed

Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction.I can build from a schematic but can't design one from scratch

Thanks
Leon

I don't know of any off the shelf ICs which will do this. Trivial with a PIC or other microcontroller.

the counter starts at 0, then 5, 10, 15, 20 etc. is it possible to count that way?

Do you just need it to display numbers by 5s, or do you actually need the count to increase by 5 every time while not passing through the prior digits?
