Posted - Oct 28 2008 : 9:50:47 PM You use an "AND" gate. Tie the two inputs to Qa & Qc and the output back to clear on the counter.
So when it tries to go to decimal "10" which is binary "1010" the two "1s" give a "true" output on the AND gate which activates the clear. If it is active "low" clear then you will need an inverter between the AND and the "Clear".
Wait, which is the MSB (Most Significant Bit)? I don't remember without looking at a data sheet. You might have to use Qb & Qd. You understand what I'm saying.....right?
