And I buy frm the local store, Counterparts Electronics/A-One Counterparts.

Though if you don't have a local store, order online from DigiKey.

My local surplus electronics store is Sayal from India. Come to Toronto and see a few of them.

audioguru!
where can I find this store?
RS is getting away from handling parts.

There is a surplus electronics parts store near my home. They buy left-over parts from products manufacturers and sell them at very low prices.
I bought some name-brand very small switching power supplies that were made for modems. The output is 5V at up to 2A and they sold for almost nothing.

You can find them on the web. There are hundreds - like Digikey, RS and Farnell to name only a few.

where can you find a real electronics store???
Most of the electronic stores are getting away from the "Electronic Hobbist".

I can buy just about anything and just about everything is available for me. I don't think that everything is available for you.

I use 5% carbon film and metal film resistors and 5% metalized plastic film capacitors. They have a list of values available.

Look at the website of your favourite electronics parts distributor to see what values they have available.

Hi Audioguru

That's right.. you are so Lucky to live in a first world country.
But I can say that I am still fortunate.. even I can't buy just about anything and just about everything is available for me.
You know why?
It's SIMPLE..
In spite of all obstacle that blocked our ways,
-- We are still seeking, trying, & persevere to achive our dreams.
Like me.. I am an undergraduate in College. I don't even have my own Computer to search & acquire new knowledge that the internet can offer.
Regardless of that I just 'rent' a PC to "feed my starving mind".
And ask some question in a forum (like this) & answered by generous members that really contribute a lot in a needy person like me.

That's why I really treasure the time communicating with you guys.

Thank you.

Hi Aaron..

Related in the TOPIC:
Do you know some LINKs of STANDARD Value of Capacitance/ Resistance of Capacitor & Resistor respectively ??
(i.e. Table of Standard value)

Thank you
