A very sensitive IR receiver is made with an IR receiver IC, sending the IR signal in bursts of data and using up to 1A as the pulses in the IR LEDs. Then you can point the remote anywhere in a room that is painted in white and the receiver will work.

Hello,
I would like to ask the IR Led type to make the transmitter could be switch on/off pointing at any direction instead of pointing to the receiver. I notice this on the Air Conditioning unit remote control.
Does anyone have suggestions?

Already on this site. Just connect a relay to the IR Remote...

(Holy hell, have people forgotten how to use the search?)
