Posted - Jan 26 2008 : 05:52:30 AM Hi y'all. I'm wondering if any electrical/vehicle wizzes out there know anything about the electrical problems in Volvos. I have an older 780 Volvo ,1989, and it's like brand new except for the problems it seems to have in the electrical system. An electrical place in this area had it for 4 months, because I honestly don't think the old guy knew what to do for it! He finally had ordered the fuse box but it took like a month or more coming from Europe. It still seems to have strange things about it though. I also cannot find a right front blinker light lens cover for it, no matter where I've searched, even online. I'm looking for a Volvo electrical specialist in the Olympia or Tacoma area. There's got to be someone that knows something. |

Posted - Jan 28 2008 : 03:41:18 AM Hi Aaron,
I think we're going to start it up tomorrow morning. It's been frrrr-eeeeezing here so I haven't even started it or gone anywhere in it. But I'm going to have to, so I can write down the wierd things it does. Then I can let you know what it's doing. The 'celticguy' (hubby) e-mailed a Volvo place in Tacoma and they replied and said they never even heard of a Volvo/Bertone 780 sport coupe!! Geeeez, how can that person work there and not know that? (a major AAAAAaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh.....) So it looks like I will have to make some phone calls. I just love the car though. I hope someday I'll be able to find the lens cover replacement for the right turn signal. You'd think that would be easy to find, but wow, it hasn't! I hope I can get the few things done for it, cuz I would really like to keep it. |
