Posted - Oct 12 2007 : 05:11:56 AM hi aaron,
im keem, student from de la salle university. our group chose the topic "automatic headlight brightness switch" to be used as our thesis. i would like to ask for some info about the project. also, i would like to know if there is a sensor used. hping to get a reply from you. thanks... |

Posted - Oct 03 2007 : 7:18:00 PM hi sir aaron,its me george.
i have been able to constract the automatic headlight brightness switch into the normal headlight system of toyota hilux as my project work in school, which i will be defending it on the 08/10/07 thus coming mornday. all the thanks goes to you for all the information you sent to me. i have leant a lot from this. let me say here that i did not find it easy as i did not sleep for about a week trying to make this work and it has. thank you.

Posted - Jun 23 2007 : 10:57:11 AM You can use almost any generic phototransistor.
Do a Google search on "voltage divider" and "how pnp transistor works" and you will quickly see how the circuit functions. |

Posted - Jun 17 2007 : 4:51:52 PM thanks aaron, what is the rate or the value of the phototransistor. sir.aaron i want you to explan that happens in each device from the point at which the light from the oncoming vehicle falls on the phototrannsistor. THANKS |

Posted - Jun 16 2007 : 10:15:57 AM The circuit is a very simple PNP transistor switched by a phototransistor, with a voltage divider to set the switch point. Not really a whole lot to explain that isn't clear on the schematic.
The wiring instructions to the headlight system are provided in the notes. This will vary based on the car. |
