My honda sl230 (never been electricaly modified all stock wireing) tonight the turning signals died, I started the bike up leving my mates house to go home got 100m down the road and the left blinker turned its self on (dont think the blinker light was flashing on the speedo) I thought I musta bumped it so I cancled it then I went to make a turn and none of the blinkers work at all, Could it be the flasher unit? or does any one know of any honda bull sh** that happens like that? It wont even make that noise that the flasher units usally make. all the other electrics work fine.

Without seeing the schematic it's hard to say. But my guess is that there is a short somewhere, or the switch is bad. Generally the flasher unit won't fail like this as the power to the flasher is actually cut by the switch when not in use.
