Posted - May 27 2007 : 10:52:40 PM what i mean is that the original wiring of the fan cant supply enough power to cool my engine thats why i want to redirect it to the batt to gain more power. i want to reuse its own thermoswitch, but the thing is, its busted.. cant take it of or replace it, so i want to build a electronic temp controller for my fan. |

Posted - Jan 24 2007 : 12:54:21 PM So you want to hard wire your radiator fan directly, bypassing the thermostat, so that it runs at all times? This can be good or bad based on the type of vehicle you have. If you run the fan constantly your vehicle may not run right as many engine and emission sensors do not trigger until a certain engine temp is reached. Emissions are usually at there highest when the engine is cold or not up to operating temps. Plus fans usually only run when you are stopped and airflow is minimum.
