Has anyone installed these turn signal kits that are available, in left and right side external mirrors?
If so how did it go and anyone having done so in a Dodge Ram P/U would be of special intrest.
I also am intrested in putting the courtesty lights in the bottom of the mirrors as well.
Thanks Tom

The project sounds quite reasonable. If it was me, I'd go with LED lighting. It has a faster response time, no bulbs to replace, and won't melt the mirror housing. If these mirrors exist ready made then the main question is how much??

Otherwise, if it's DIY, is there enough room in the housing for you to add stuff? Do you have good spots to tap into the turn and courtesy signals? A reasonable path to run signals to the door? A good way to make a flexible jump from the frame to door? How easy is it to open up the door to run wires?

Something you might consider is picking up an extra set of mirrors (with the housing) so that you can work on them at your leisure and then swap 'em when you're ready.
