I just bought a CAR cd player of ebay but its not working. The panel lights come on and everthing seems to be working fine but there is no output from the speakers. Yes i'm sure my wiring is correct. It is a JVC s680 model player. Any suggestions ideas???????
thanks

Thanks for the reply. well the player panel lights up and the cd is spinning so the player gets power for sure. It even tunes to FM stations but there is just nothing coming out from the speakers. Is there any test that can be done on the wires that goto the speakers. ? by the way i was a victim of auto theft too. my old cd player was stolen :(

Remove it from the car and try to power it from an external 12V source. Does it work? Also, some car stereos have anti-theft features. If they are removed from the original car, they won't work unless unlocked. Perhaps yours has this feature?

Im having problems with my Car CD player, It Keeps skipping. anyway, you got it from Ebay . Maybe a blown fuse or damaged electrical component. Cant hurt to double check the connections by doing research on Google
