well as the title states the turbo on my n/a turbo kicked the can and siezed. fitting is pretty tight, however I was wondering if anyone could suggest some options for upgrades or decent replacements? Also I was wondering if a s5 turbo + manifold mounted in the same spot as the s4? (hoses and downpipe, etc) Thanks!

ah ic ic, well I have the turbo lol, and severe intake modification was needed indeed lol. The empty metal shell for the acv passage was cut away and sanded and the compressor fits, but its a s5 exhaust housing... and it doesnt gahh.. more complications haha. I saw sonicrat on rx7club had the same setup and he said a big hammer did the job... but I dont see how you could get a big hammer in there. well hopefully be done this week and have some pics up!

I don't know the dimensions off hand of that compressor. It seems like it wouldn't fit without a custom manifold, or at least severe lower intake modification. I'm actually almost complete in making a totally new lower intake. Carved it myself out of an NA intake and solid block of aluminium. I'll probably end up with a custom manifold and a T04 (most likely E) hot side and 60-1 compressor. But that definitly won't fit using the "spacer" technique.

hmm oiling maybe... I wont really know for sure until I pull the thing off =(. I was thinking of a t3/t4 hybird however, I dont think a a t04b s-trim or v-trim compressor housing would fit would it? just an idea, but just trying to imagine it I think modification to the lower intake manifold would be necessary.

Well that's unfortunate...Is it possible there is an oiling problem?

Yes, the S5 turbo will bolt directly if you use the S5 manifold.

Many options are available for upgrades, it just depends on how crazy you want to get. Keep in mind that the S4/S5 turbo is good for 400HP or so, as there are many mods available.
