I bought an 88 rx7 several weeks ago....test drove the car for about 40 miles with no problems. Over the next ten days I continued to have good running. Friday, while shifting from 2nd to 3rd a puff of greyish smoke came out. I shut car down and checked all systems including coolant level...all goood. The car ran fine from there...I drove apprx. 3 miles and shut off. That evening, I drove a short distance(300yds) turned off....several hours later car would not start. Next morning it fired up but was smoking again...smelled like fuel out of the exhaust. Coontinuied for a couppe of minutes and shut down. Have not been able to start since. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not a mechanic so laymans terms please.

It sounds as though it is flooding.

Was the car sitting for a long time before you bought it? If so, then the injectors can become gummed up and will need to be serviced.
