Does any one know the equation that find acceleration of an object on an inclined plane WITH friction, thank you :)

Hey, that's cool cyclops. I love when I am wrong or corrected about something. That's how you learn :) Yeah it is truely fascinating that they were able to do that. Maybe you could explain the full procedure they used. That is if you have the time. I'm sure we would all love to know.

hey mrgone, I speed read the part there and missed that you answered it already. Only after I posted did I notice you gave the answer. Hope I didn't step on your toes! The experiments used to measure the speed of light were really clever! Christiaan Huygens and Michelson are two the two who got the speed of light the closest in the 20th century! Michelson's mirror experiment was genious! Before that Christiaan Huygens using the Jupiter's moon IO! hahaha smart thinking!

taht? Hmmm...must be one of those new fangled terms. Oh well, just trying to help.
cyclopsitis Posted - Feb 07 2008 : 6:20:39 PM
taht 3.00X10^8meters per second or a 186,000miles per second

C is the speed of light in e=mc2

c is what? T= time right? ooohhh you mean mu right? (micro symbol) and ok thanks i think i get it now

However the formula I was looking for involved sin and cos.
Thanks once again

Don't have time to look at this whole thread, but I think someone forgot to answer your question. C is usually the speed of light, considered to be a constant.

Does any one have agood schematic with parts list for a pH meter able to measure from 0 to 14 ph please let me know i need one and want to build this for my next project

The gauss pistol is neat I'm going to try and build one with a friend of mine!

Ive been to all the sites on 42 pages in google, never understod much.

Sounds fun, thats how it works not riding the roller coaster...
CurrentOverflow Posted - Feb 19 2007 : 10:57:49 AM
Reminds me of that new roller coaster thats all magnets, fastest one in the world i believe :P

Im on the 5th read through and still a lille confused!

pebe,
I forgot to add this to the previous post, What I want is to discharge a capacitor suddenly through a coil this causing a iron projectile inside the coil to move... somehow. The 1.7ohms is the resistance if the coil.

See here for a gun.

Yeah I was wondering about that... Energy up would equal energy down... Its two vectors going in opposite directions = no energy. Once again I say if we lived in a perfect world there would be no losses! Damn physics!

I really liked that one link that binary gave though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_motion

The bowel siphon thing! If only it would work!

Yep thats what I thought, at first I beleved it then I showed the site to someone else and he said it was a joke...
CurrentOverflow Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 07:13:34 AM
The site could just be some theory he made up in his little head because #1 theres no actual visual proof and #2 he vaguely explains how it works and he took less than a minute to make the picture.

On the other hand there were 8 marbles and it took 4 marbles to raise one marble to the top i believe, maybe this was enough for this little contraption
cirvin Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 06:47:55 AM
It takes the same amount of energy to raise up a single marble as a single marble falls from the top. if the falling marble looses energy, it will not have enough to raise one marble back to the top. It will take more than one marble to do it and your reservoir of marbles at the top will be exhausted because it looses marbles faster than they can be replenished. The reservoir will only stay full if each falling marble can move the belt enough to replace it in the queue.
