Posted - May 26 2013 : 04:47:40 AM I am plagued by a program that shows up as 'Toparcadehits'. I cannot find it on my hard disk to remove it.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of it? |

Posted - May 26 2013 : 10:21:34 AM You may be able to find it using Process Explorer: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
Download, unzip and run. If you can find the "toparcadehits" process, right click and you can get the file location. Then you may be able to boot into Safe Mode and delete it.
If not, you'll need to put the HD in another computer and delete the file. Or, boot to a Linux boot CD (I like Parted Magic) and delete the file. Another option is to download Windows Defender Offline ( http://blogs.technet.com/b/security/archive/2012/09/19/microsoft-s-free-security-tools-windows-defender-offline.aspx ), create the boot CD, and then scan the system using that CD. |
