My system cant play music files. It displays 'Server Execution Failed'
No option from the NET seem to work. I cant reinstall windows for now! Help all |

It likely was not related to Avast! itself. More likely due to a secondary infection or other problem with the system. Removal of Avast! was probably just the catalyst. Often seems to happen with many different AV packages. |

Alternative Media Players are quite good - but nothing is as good as the original Media Player! The first wives are always better! |

That doesn't sound right. I have never had that problem and I have reinstalled Avast! a couple of times on a few computers. |

In a way that's true. Files are simply marked deleted but not removed from the disk. They are then overwritten next time that space is needed. Thats how undelete utilities work. But eventually, they will be over written... |

Some say that files are never deleted from the computer but just stored into a free heap, stack or whatever mode of storing data you have in mind and that they can be recovered using a investigation type software.
While that can be good news for those who had accidentally deleted files or had their drives corrupted, that can mean disaster for those who were up to no good. |

I went to the mountains and am back to the land of the living. I tried the link and did a download.
Wow!! I feel good. Problem solved.
I can now at my private time tune my volume to max.

Sounds as though Media Player was damaged by removing Avast. There really isn't an easy to reinstall Media Player in Vista or Windows 7. Try something like VideoLan from http://www.videolan.org instead. |

All music files refuse to play: mp3, wma, aac etc
I use vista and windows 7. Both decided to deny me listening to music.
I remember removing an antivirus (avast) from my vista. The next time everything stopped working.
My window 7 is affected also.

Local files or those on the Internet?
What program are you using?
