Posted - Feb 21 2006 : 02:22:06 AM While on some message boards the other day,I discovered a new hobby.
These nifty little buggers run off a flame from a candle.
Heres a link on how to build one for next to nothing http://www.physics.sfasu.edu/astro/courses/egr112/StirlingEngine/stirling.html
Sadly,I can not get one major piece of this kit(the diet shake can)They don't sell this stuff down here in New Zealand.
So has anyone built one of these?

Posted - Feb 24 2006 : 6:50:01 PM Ok..I got some suitable cans.
..On abither note, could a small 2 stroke cylinder and piston(maybe crank and rod aswell) be modified to work.I have lots of small engines.

Posted - Feb 21 2006 : 4:19:03 PM They don't sell Pepsi, CocaCola, Sprite, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, etc there?
Perhaps some can of a similar volume like a small paint can or even a peice of metal pipe?
