I have a friend who got a few thousand dollars worth of UPS supplies for free. Some are dead some kinda work some have dead batteries. I'm gonna take a 400 watt one. The 2 small batteries it has are basically the equivalent of 2 big car batteries except less amperage. Would it work if i put 2 car batteries on it and take it camping so i can plug a light , my cd player, heater.. etc...?

This has been covered probably 20 times on this forum. A search for "UPS" will turn up all the info.

Im looking for a good Gel Cell charger, if any smaller ones are using gel cells I would like to get the electronics board from it. It would save me some testing and tuning of my own stuff.

Just make sure they are deep cycle, not regular car batteries.
