Posted - Feb 17 2004 : 09:12:53 AM The blender "speed control" is probably a very similar circuit to a light dimmer. It works by chopping part of the AC wave off. Very poor efficiency, and only works on AC.

Posted - Feb 16 2004 : 8:25:16 PM Oh, ok then. The speed controller in a blender cannot take the power needed to run an electric go kart and the speeds are too crude.
There is a motor controller on the electronics section of this site. You will have to beef up on the power regulator transistor tho.
