Posted - Aug 08 2003 : 7:49:59 PM making your own propellant is hard I have mad rockets with the Estes rocket engines they work grate just go to a hobby store they will have them as for the Rocket body they are even harder I mad mine out if PVC and cut the slots for the tail fins with a saw just try to get the cuts right in the middle and if you are going to have it go up and explode like I did :) test it a few times b4 you put a big explosives

Posted - Jul 15 2003 : 12:36:29 AM Buy some bottle rockets, duck tape them together and put gasloine on the fuses. the blast from the chamber will ignite the fuses.

Posted - Mar 13 2003 : 05:20:24 AM ben_seg, i'm quite good in chemistry.but you know i'll need the design of the rocket's body especially the aerodynamics that would be of best advantage to guarantee:speed and distance, as well as some reasonable accuracy. whats more,i don't wan't to blow my hands off.i.e,the proportion's of the propellants must be right,the quantity must also be right to ensure safety.this is all i require to know.
