hey guys can i use 10 ohm threw hole resistors instead of smd resistors.would they be alright to use long as the ohms are the same.

its the mosfets they burn up when a load is placed on it in the outlet.its making me crazy im sure it worked befor.at idle nothing plugged in volts are perfect.

My electricity is reliable so I have never used, never made and never fixed an inverter.
I don't know what is blown up in your inverter.

the gate to ground resistors for this inverter show 2000 ohm but i look up on a resistor calculator for the colors red blk blk brown brown says 2000 kohms would this be ok or the same. does this sound a bit high for gate ground resistors i mean i hope that these resistors are right to head off any ocillatios that may be blowing these fets up. help.......

hey guru well i dont have a schematic this is a jap inverter but i bought it not working so im trying to fix it. im going to change the pwm controller ic thinking it may be bad i hope and also lm324n along with 2 tip 142 and 2 147 that drive the mosfets.then all 16 mosfets. i checked everything from resistors for opens to diodes for any reverse condition and cant find anything else. but there is one ic from e lan and i found the data sheet and i cant get it but the sheet says they are in computers and i dont know why its in an inverter.the ic is a 8 bit micro controller number em78p156n 18 pin.well i know you know your stuff guru i hope you may have some idea of where i can go to figure this problem or a hint i can look into.

where is the schematic and parts list of your inverter?

Sorry, can't help ya there.

thanks again, but im trying to figure out this inverter circuit i have listed why the mosfets burn when a load is placed on it.

It will be 10 ohms. 10 + 0 noughts.

if a smd resistor has 100 on it does this mean its 100 ohms because i checked them and it dont read 100.

ok thanks

Of course, why not? The only difference is the physical package.
