I've been thinking about getting into airsoft, but it seems like all the "cool" guns are really expensive, and the most I'd want to spend is $70. I was wondering if anyone had any I dea how to make a simple spring airsoft gun using pvc pipe and maybe some rubberband gun parts.

Yes. Build a spud gun, load it with about 500 6mm airsoft balls, and fire away as normal. But add a little extra propellant just to be safe.
If you don't have the time to do it right, when will you have the time to do it over?
